Under the artistic supervision of Founder Joan Boada, Alchemy Ballet Company creates opportunities for exceptional artists. Our dancers are freelance professionals and advanced pre-professionals taking the next step in their careers as company members and apprentices.
About the Company
- Our repertory includes traditional ballets and new contemporary commissions by established and emerging choreographers from diverse backgrounds. These performances and showcases display the diversity of our repertory and the versatility of our dancers, while educating and entertaining audiences of all ages.
- Our trainees work intensively with the company and also train separately with our world class faculty.
- As well as training with our Alchemy faculty, our trainees will have opportunities to learn from and dance with the international artists of our Masters Series.
- All of our ABC dancers are offered career counseling and support as well as individualized mentoring.

Take Your Training to the Next Level
Are you ready to audition for a company but aren't sure how to get there? Our Company Audition Preparation Program is the right track for you!
You will experience what company life is like and be guided through the audition process. This 12 week intensive program will help boost your resume and confidence needed to pursue a professional dance career.
Application
This program is for dancers 18-21 years of age. If you are outside of that age range please include a note of this in your application and we will review it for consideration. Please submit the following materials to info@alchemyballet.org.
- Dance resume
- Headshot and arabesque picture.
- Video Requirements: 15-20 minute video including the following: The applicant stating their name, age, and reason for pursuing ballet training; Short combinations at the barre, on one side only, of the following: Plié, battement tendu, rond de jambe par terre, grand battements; Center work: Adagio, petite and grand allegro, turns; Pointe for those applicable: echappes, pirouette combination with pique arabesque, grande pirouettes, fouettés. A classical variation and/or contemporary or improvisation.
