Advanced Pre-Professional and Trainee Program

 Alchemy Ballet combines elite ballet training by our internationally celebrated faculty with a values-driven community that seeks to cultivate artistry and personal excellence. We offer leading edge preparation that merges Vaganova training with emerging research. Our unique program produces polished performers while emphasizing the longevity of each dancer's body. Through concert performances, appropriately curated competition opportunities, and rigorous personalized training, Alchemy's program combines all the elements necessary to prepare dancers for a professional career in dance or dance-related fields. This method is the Alchemy of Ballet.


 With the well-being of our dancers and our community in focus, Alchemy is committed to building an encouraging and supportive environment and to providing opportunities for service in our broader community.

With decades of experience as a visionary leader in dance education, Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler has established and led nationally recognized pre-professional training programs, mentored dancers who have gone on to prestigious companies and conservatories, and curated performance opportunities that elevate both technical mastery and artistic expression. Her approach blends classical rigor with a deep commitment to the health, individuality, and long-term success of each dancer.

Under Ms. Spiegler’s leadership—and the watchful guidance of Alchemy Ballet’s exceptional faculty—you will receive personalized coaching, advanced technical refinement, and artistic mentoring designed to prepare you for a professional career in dance or advanced collegiate study. At Alchemy, we don’t just train dancers—we empower artists.

Dynamic Programs and Performances

Students in the pre-professional ballet program will also have the opportunity to train in additional forms of dance to broaden the student’s technique and style, while also improving musicality and coordination.    


Students will be invited to participate in classes and workshops with the international artists in our Masters Series, exploring contemporary, hip-hop and jazz, along with other culturally diverse dance styles. 


 In addition to the bi-annual program performances, dancers will be considered for opportunities to perform company-level offerings.
